The teaching staff of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva is launching a traditional annual project "Department Week", which involves creative reports of the musical institution. This is reported by Orient news.
As part of the project, the Conservatory Talents Competition and competitions for applicants are held within the walls of the institution. During the academic year the university organizes concerts, meetings and lectures with Russian composers in order to familiarize them with musical styles and trends of the 2nd half of the 20th - early 21st centuries.
One of the most interesting concert-lectures was held on Saturday, April 15. The theme of the event was "Technique of modern composition in the works of Turkmen composers". The lecture part was devoted to the works of outstanding composers Chari Nurymov, Recep Recepov and Dangatar Khydyrov. The theoretical part of the lecture was prepared by musicologist and Head of the Department Shemshat Annaglydzhova.
