The US Department of Energy presented a forecast on oil production in Turkmenistan

According to the presented forecast of the Ministry of Energy, production of oil and other liquid hydrocarbons in Turkmenistan this year will amount to 0.27 million barrels per day. This is reported on the website of the Trend new agency.

Thus, according to the current year forecast, the production volume will remain similar to the previous 2022 data. The prepared forecast also reports on the estimated volumes of hydrocarbon production in 2024. According to the forecasts, they will also amount to 0.27 million barrels per day in the first, second, third and fourth quarters of the year.

According to statistics, in 2021 the volume of oil production was 8.9 million tons. The main export destinations of Turkmen oil are Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia. The total volume of oil reserves of Turkmenistan is 82 million tons.
