Two experienced fighters from Turkmenistan, Yazmukhammet Ashirmuradov and Murad Ekyaev, won gold medals at the Open Asian Kyokushinkai Karate Championship held in Turkey. Turkmenportal reports with reference to Neutral Turkmenistan.
Ashirmuradov won in the weight category up to 80 kg, and Ekyaev - in the category over 90 kg. Both athletes have already repeatedly reached the podium of international tournaments. Their success was the result of many years of training in the hard contact style of Kyokushinkai.
This style of karate, founded by the legendary master Masutatsu Oyama, is very popular in Turkmenistan. The head coach of the national team attracts children and teenagers all over the country to practice this martial art. And judging by the recent victories, this work is bearing fruit.
Thus, the Turkmen kyokushinkai karate fighters once again proved their high class in the international arena. Their gold medals of the Asian Championship are a worthy result of many years of training in this tough and uncompromising martial art.
