Meredov discussed preparations for the 80th anniversary of the organization with the UN coordinator

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, during which the parties considered key areas of bilateral cooperation. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The central place in the talks was taken by the discussion of topical issues of Turkmenistan's interaction with the UN and its specialized agencies. The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the forthcoming meeting of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan - UN".

The diplomats noted the significance of the regular session of the UN General Assembly in New York, which began on September 9, as an important international platform for discussing global issues of our time.

In the context of the forthcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations, the Turkmen side reaffirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in holding the planned solemn events in the country.
