The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting on countering drug trafficking

On Monday, April 3, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev held a meeting with Deputy Director of the UNODC Policy Analysis and Public Relations Division Fyodor Klimchuk and Deputy Head of the Joint Financing and Partnership Section Igor Kondratyev. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting the effective cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime within the framework of the main activities was noted. The issues and action plans for the current year were also discussed.

The Deputy Minister and representatives of the UN delegation discussed the results of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs held in Vienna, as well as the Ashgabat session of the Sub-Commission on Illicit Drug Trafficking and Related Matters in the Near and Middle East.

The parties focused on the development of a new plan for 2023-2025 in the field of combating human trafficking.
