Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan M. Byashimova held a meeting with Chairman of the Polish Sejm Committee on Foreign Affairs Pawel Kowal. The talks were held today in the building of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The participants of the meeting noted the strengthening of bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations, especially the European Union. Special attention was paid to the role of meetings in the format "Central Asia - European Union".
The Turkmen side expressed gratitude to Poland for supporting all UN General Assembly resolutions proposed by Turkmenistan. Ms. Byashimova confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to build up active intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary contacts.
During the talks, the sides discussed the development of trade and economic ties, including the organization of business contacts and participation of delegations in exhibitions in both countries. The importance of intensifying cooperation in the field of culture, education and science was also noted.
