The Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan signed the project for the implementation of the third phase of the SDGs

The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan jointly with UNDP signed a new project "Platform for the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, phase 3", designed for a two-year period. This is reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".

The new project will contribute to sustainable development by increasing the capacity of the Ministry of Finance to finance the SDGs and develop measures for their implementation. UNDP also plans to provide expert support to Turkmenistan's accession to the WTO.

The joint project of UNDP and the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan started in 2018. Currently, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the successful implementation of the first two phases. The third phase will include monitoring of progress towards achieving the SDGs, studying the global experience of financing, taking measures for the country's accession to the WTO.
