Today in Ashgabat, early voting started in three constituencies - No. 1 Garaşsyzlyk, No. 2 Bitaraplyk and No. 6 Köpetdag - for the election of deputies to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.
Starting today and for ten days, citizens who will be absent from the country on the election day on July 7, 2024 due to business trip, vacation or for other reasons can use the right of early voting. Early voting is held daily from 08.00 to 18.00 at 60 polling stations in three districts.
Political national party observers scrutinize the conduct of elections. They have the right to attend meetings of candidates with the electorate and observe the voting process at polling stations. To date, candidates to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan are still holding meetings with the electorate, during which they present their election programs.
