June 27, a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held in the cultural and park complex of Ashgabat. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The first basket of flowers was laid at the foot of the monument on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, members of public associations, cultural and artistic figures of the country, Turkmen and foreign citizens took part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers.
The mass action was the evidence of wide popular love and deep respect for the works of the outstanding Turkmen poet and philosopher.
Recall that by his decree of June 7, the Head of Turkmenistan approved the status of the unique cultural heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi at the legislative level.
In addition to his poetry and philosophy, Magtymguly Firaghi is known as "Magtymguly Ishan", which indicates his important status in the Islamic world. We should remember and be able to be grateful to our ancestors who left a mark in history. The leadership of the great TURKMENISTAN under the leadership of Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, the president of our dear and leader of the national Arkadag Gurbanguly Myalikguliyevich Berdimuhamedov is doing a great job.
