National Leader of the Turkmen People meets with the State Counselor of Tatarstan

On the margins of the XV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2024" in Kazan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev. This was reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".

The State Counselor supported the initiative of the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan to develop the "Islamic Initiative for Peace, Mutual Understanding and Trust" and its nomination during the regular session of the UNGA as an official document.

The parties noted the fruitfulness of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in oil and gas and shipbuilding, chemical industry, aircraft and automobile supplies.
