The National Leader of the Turkmen People met with the Acting Chairman of the Government of Afghanistan

National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Acting Chairman of the Government of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hasan Akhund on September 11. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides paid special attention to the opening and start of construction of a number of facilities on the Turkmen-Afghan border, on the territories of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. The countries are jointly implementing a number of large-scale projects in the transport and communication and fuel and energy sectors.

It was noted that the implementation of these projects will contribute to the socio-economic development of the countries of the region. Other topical issues of the bilateral and regional agenda were also discussed during the meeting.
