National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat and expressed condolences to the citizens of Iran, relatives and friends of President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and high-ranking officials of the country who died in a plane crash. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
A meeting was held with Iranian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, during which the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan made an entry in the Book of Condolences.
Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan, as the closest neighbor, shares the grief of the Iranian people. He expressed condolences on behalf of himself and the Turkmen people. The Mufti of Turkmenistan recited prayers in memory of the deceased.
The IRI Ambassador to Turkmenistan expressed gratitude for the attention and words of support.
