During his working trip to Astana, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. This is reported by the Internet edition “Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".
In the course of the conversation, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for strengthening Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation in various spheres. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked the National Leader of the Turkmen people for accepting the invitation to participate in the SCO Summit. The Head of Kazakhstan also expressed gratitude for the support of the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, in particular, for the opening of the monument to the great composer of Kazakhstan Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly in Ashgabat.
Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, in turn, expressed gratitude for the invitation to the Summit and thanked the President of Kazakhstan for his personal support in the opening of the monument to the recognized Turkmen classical writer Makhtumkuli Fraghi in Astana.
