Columnist S. Akiniyazov commented on the participation of the Turkmen national team in the Asian Games

Publicist Serdar Akiniyazov commented on the successful performance of Turkmen athletes at the XIX Asian Summer Games. This is reported on the website Centralasia.news.

The observer noted that Turkmen athletes took part in competitions in 12 sports. The national team of Turkmenistan included 104 people, 67 of whom were athletes. A total of 12 thousand athletes from 45 countries took part in the tournament.

According to the results of the tournaments, the Turkmen national team won 7 medals, one of which was silver and six bronze. This result significantly exceeds the results of the Turkmen national team of the past Asian Games.

Serdar Akiniyazov emphasized that Turkmenistan actively cooperates with the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia, the UN International Bureau of Sport for Peace and Sustainable Development, the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee on Sport.
