In Turkmenistan, the OSCE organized a training on media literacy for representatives of the media and agencies involved in the implementation of the National Action Plan on Human Rights for 2021-2025, which was held from 19 to 20 October. This is reported in the official press release of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.
The speakers of the training were international experts from Moldova and Armenia, who shared their knowledge about the modern media environment, types of media content and types of misleading information.
The two-day training covered media literacy in countering stereotypes and hate speech, focusing on agenda setting in journalism, countering misinformation, digital literacy, digital responsibility and critical thinking skills.
