Further development of bilateral ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan discussed

During the meeting between Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Federal Minister of Industry and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rana Tanvir Hussain, prospects for further development of traditionally friendly interstate relations were discussed, MIC reports.

Hero Arkadag and Rana Tanvir Hussain exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral partnership. One of the main issues discussed at the meeting was the trade and economic sphere. Special attention was paid to the implementation of large-scale joint energy and communication projects in the region, in particular, the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline, laying power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route.
