UNFPA Office in Turkmenistan held a workshop on social support for persons in difficult situations

The UNFPA office in Turkmenistan together with the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan held a five-day seminar on providing social support to women and families in difficult life situations within the framework of the National Action Plan on Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025. This was reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal.

The workshop aims to train social workers and psychologists to provide psychological assistance to women and families from vulnerable groups. The event was attended by more than 70 representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, the NOCPT, the NGO "Keyik Okara" and social workers.
