Ashgabat, May 10, /Arzuw NEWS/. The National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli hosted a festive concert "Victory. One for All". The concert was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory with participation of the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev and the State Choir of Turkmenistan under the direction of Haidar Eminov.
The concert featured D. Shostakovich's compositions "Waltz" and A. Alexandrov's "Holy War". In turn, the concert participants performed famous songs from the repertoires of A. Pakhmutova, B. Mokrousov, A. Novikov: "How Young We Were", "Lonely Harmon", "Smuglyanka" and many others. Also, songs in the Turkmen language by S. Tuiliev "Elder Brother" and "Memories of a Soldier" by N. Halmamedov were performed by the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atageldy Garyagdyev and Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov on the piano.
By the end of the evening, the students of the Turkmen-Russian school named after A.S. Pushkin in the uniform of the war years solemnly presented gifts to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The hall gave a standing ovation. The evening ended with David Tukhmanov's song "Victory Day" performed by all the participants of the concert.
This evening was the concluding event in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan.
