The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Seattle organized an evening of Makhtumkuli Fraghi

A literary event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker of the East was held on March 11 at Shoreline Community College in the American city of Seattle, located in the northwest of the country. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The participants of the literary evening were students of Cascadia and Shoreline Community Colleges, which are located in Washington State. The event was also attended by members of the Turkmen diaspora in the United States.

Turkmen students prepared speeches in which they told about the creative path and life of the outstanding philosopher, thinker and poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi. During the evening, much was said about his poetic creations imbued with the spirit of patriotism and bringing valuable life wisdom to the masses.

The importance of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's poetry in the education of the new generation was also emphasized at the literary evening.
