Diplomatic Service of Turkmenistan extended the validity of passports

In order to support Turkmen citizens abroad, the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan is taking active measures to protect their rights in the difficult epidemiological situation in the world related to COVID-19. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

One of the most important support measures is the extension of the validity of passports of Turkmen citizens temporarily staying or permanently residing in other countries. Thus, the period of validity of passports expiring from January 1, 2020 to December 30, 2024 is extended until December 31, 2024. At the same time, a special mark must be put in the passport, which can be obtained by applying to the consulates and embassies of the country abroad.

This opportunity has already been used by more than 200 thousand citizens of Turkmenistan staying in foreign countries.
