Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan held a conversation with the UN Assistant Secretary General

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Miroslav Jenča - UN Assistant Secretary General for Central Asia, Europe, North and South America met. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. 

In the course of the conversation, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan noted the country's successful cooperation with the UN in a wide range of areas, including sustainable energy and transportation, ensuring security and global peace, and achieving the SDGs.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, who arrived in Turkmenistan as part of the delegation headed by António Guterres, emphasized effective cooperation with the UN in the framework of implementation of joint projects and initiatives at the global and regional levels. Miroslav Jenča noted that he expects new initiatives from Turkmenistan at the "Summit of the Future" scheduled for September this year.
