Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan held a telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan

On December 28, 2023, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the conversation they discussed opportunities for strengthening interstate relations based on the principles of equal mutually beneficial partnership. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

At the beginning of the dialog, the interlocutors congratulated each other on the coming New Year, mutually wishing peace, happiness, prosperity and well-being. In the course of the conversation, the open and transparent political dialog established between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, which has been a reliable basis for the development of interstate relations for many years, was noted.

Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan noted that the past year was full of important events for the development of cooperation between the two countries. The parties emphasized that they aimed at consistent and systematic expansion of the established friendly relations and strengthening of effective partnership in trade and economic, political, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
