The President of Turkmenistan participated in New Year celebrations

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in New Year celebrations on December 28 on the square in front of the cultural and entertainment center "Alem", where the main Christmas tree of the country is located. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Children from all provinces of the country and schoolchildren from Ashgabat, winners of various creative, sports and intellectual contests, children from orphanages were invited to the festive ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony, children in national costumes presented flowers to Serdar Berdimuhamedov and recited poems about happy childhood in neutral Turkmenistan. Then the President of the country accompanied by children walked to the main Christmas tree.

During the festivities in the square, the President of Turkmenistan watched musical performances by young artists - talented singers, musicians, choreographic children's groups. Characters from Turkmen folk tales gave a special flavor to the festive ceremony.
