Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Hungary, is taking part in the 16th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States. The national leader of the Turkmen people was invited to the meeting as a member of the Council and guest of honor. This is reported on the official website Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The 16th meeting is devoted to topical issues related to the activities of the Organization and the Council of Elders. Various aspects of cooperation between the member states of the Organization of Turkic States and implementation of the agreements reached during the 15th meeting in Ashgabat are on the agenda.
It should be recalled that the Council of Elders is an advisory body of the OTG and includes elders from among the prominent political figures of the Organization's member countries.
