President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent congratulations to the participants of the XXVI Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, which is held within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust. The event was organized on the eve of the main national holiday - Turkmenistan's Independence Day. This year, the country celebrates the 34th anniversary of independence and the 30th anniversary of the status of permanent neutrality.
The head of state emphasized the contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, President of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World Hero Arkadag to the formation of the foundation of independence and neutrality. Under his leadership, active construction of the second stage of the city of state significance Arkadag, modern settlements and industrial facilities is underway.
The status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan has been triple recognized by the UN General Assembly. The last time it happened on March 21, 2025, when the relevant resolution was adopted at the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session.
In August this year, Turkmenistan hosted the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
President Berdimuhamedov noted the significant role of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World in promoting state initiatives and developing international cooperation.
