On October 21, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev and khakims of the country's velayats, TDH reports.
The agenda of the workshop included consideration of the dynamics of work performance in the agricultural sector of the country, as well as the National Rural Program.
Hyakims of Akhal velayat S. Soltanmyradov, Balkan velayat H. Ashirmyradov, D. Babaev of Dashoguz velayat, M. Annanepesov of Lebap velayat, B. Orazov of Mary velayat informed about the measures taken to optimize the collection and subsequent delivery of cotton harvested from fields to raw cotton receiving points.
As reported, sowing of grain continues, vegetation irrigation is carried out on sown fields in a timely manner.
In light of the impending cold weather, heating systems have been launched in social and housing facilities and their proper functioning is being maintained.
The heads of regional administrations also reported on preparations for the celebrations on the occasion of the Turkmen Alabai Holiday to be held on the last Sunday of October and on the status of new social and production infrastructure buildings to be opened this year under the National Rural Program.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural activities in the country.
As reported, necessary efforts are being made to ensure a loss-free cotton harvest and its uninterrupted delivery to receiving points and cotton ginning plants.
At the same time, according to agrotechnical norms, sowing of wheat for the next year's harvest, vegetative watering of sown areas and care of seedlings are carried out.
Rice harvesting continues in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and preparations for sugar beet harvesting are underway in Mary region.
Summarizing the report and emphasizing the urgency of the tasks set before the agrarian sector, he ordered to keep under control the optimal implementation of relevant works according to the planned schedule.
Addressing the participants of the working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused attention on the ongoing responsible agricultural campaign - cotton harvest.
The head of state also emphasized the ongoing sowing of wheat. In this regard, he was instructed to ensure effective functionality of the machinery and units involved in the sowing season, timely vegetation watering of the sown areas to ensure uniform sprouts.
At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to make settlements with service structures and enterprises for the work done on the ground within the scheduled timeframe.
Separate instructions concerned systematic control over rice harvesting in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats and proper preparation for sugar beet harvesting in Mary region.
Speaking about the approaching winter period, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure uninterrupted functioning of heating systems in educational, cultural, administrative, public buildings and residential houses.
At the same time, the head of state ordered to thoroughly prepare for the festive events on the occasion of the Holiday of the Turkmen Alabai, as well as to take all measures for the timely and optimal implementation of works scheduled in the regions for the current year under the Program of Socio-Economic Development of the country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.
