The Head of Turkmenistan, on the invitation of the first President of Kazakhstan - Elbas, Honorary Chairman of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States Nursultan Nazarbayev as an honorary guest, took part in the unofficial Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) held in the online mode. The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, the Prime Minister of Hungary (as an observer country) and the General Secretary of the Turkic Council took part in the Summit. The participants of the forum discussed the tasks of expansion and strengthening of multi-vector mutually beneficial cooperation.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov in his speech at the Summit reaffirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to constructive dialogue between the countries within the region and the world. The head of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to his colleagues for striving to strengthen the friendly partnership with our country, for fruitful interaction in the UN format and support for Turkmenistan's peace-loving policy.
The President of Turkmenistan stressed that the agenda of the current summit was to develop vectors of coordinated work of the Turkic-speaking countries. The Turkmen leader recalled Turkmenistan's initiatives on the pressing issues of international cooperation: ensuring global and energy security, development of the transport and transit sector, environmental protection, intensification of trade and economic cooperation. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also drew attention to the important details of cultural and humanitarian cooperation of the participating countries.
The forum participants expressed their interest in multi-vector cooperation with fraternal Turkmenistan, which has proven itself as a responsible and reliable partner.
