The President of Turkmenistan held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On December 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to summarize the results of work done for eleven months of the current year, as well as to discuss priority tasks of socio-economic development of the country, TDH reports.
The first speaker was D. Gulmanova, Chairperson of Mejlis, who informed about the results of activities carried out in January-November.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. H. Geldimiradov reported that as a result of comprehensive measures taken to ensure the stable development of the national economy for eleven months of this year, GDP increased by 6.3 percent. Including the growth rate in the industrial sector reached 2.2 percent, construction - 11 percent, transport and communication sector - 7.1 percent, trade - 9.5 percent, agriculture - 5.3 percent, services - 8.7 percent.
There was also a report on the implementation of the National Rural Program. In particular, it was reported that since the beginning of the year construction of 49 social facilities, 32 water treatment plants, 725.1 thousand square meters of housing, engineering systems is underway.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under strict control the financing of salaries of employees of all enterprises and institutions regardless of their form of ownership until December 20.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the results of work carried out in the supervised sectors for January-November of the current year, practical steps taken to increase production volumes and expand energy supply routes to the world market.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the results of the supervised industries in January-November of the current year, as well as on the seasonal agricultural work carried out in the velayats of the country.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to carry out proper work to create abundance of various food products in the country.
The next Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Annamammedov reported on the results of the construction-industrial complex for January-November 2024.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on the results of the work carried out in January-November this year in the subordinate ministries and departments, as well as in the business sector.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to increase the output of goods demanded by the population. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to keep under constant control the abundance of food and other products in the country's markets and shopping centers, especially on holidays.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the results of the work carried out in the supervised sphere for January-November of the current year.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high level of organization of events on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality and the New Year.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the results of work in the supervised areas for January-November of this year.
It was reported that during this period the implementation of measures aimed at improving the quality of educational activities, improvement of curricula and programs continued.
Further, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov, prefacing the report, reported on the good news received from the UN headquarters in New York. On December 2, the regular meeting of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the Resolution "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia" initiated by Turkmenistan.
In this regard, on behalf of the members of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister cordially congratulated the head of Turkmenistan on this foreign policy achievement and wished him good health and new great successes in his noble activities for the prosperity of the Motherland, increasing its international prestige and well-being of the Turkmen people.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on the results of the activity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for January-November.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that it was necessary to continue building up fruitful cooperation with the states of the world and reputable international organizations. Emphasizing the need to prepare well and hold the planned events on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality in an organized and high-level manner, the President of Turkmenistan gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister and the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Then Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the results of activities of institutions of the supervised sphere for eleven months of the current year.
Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated with satisfaction that the results of the work done for 11 months clearly testify to the great achievements of the independent neutral Fatherland. The adopted programs are being successfully implemented in the country, construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities is underway.
Summarizing what was said, the head of state noted that there is not much time left before the end of the current year. Therefore, we should do everything necessary to complete it with good results and meet the new year 2025 with dignity.
Addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers and all compatriots, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the good news coming from the United Nations. On December 2, the 79th session of the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution initiated by our country on the Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia. The support of this proposal of Turkmenistan by the member countries of the Community of Nations and the fact that foreign countries co-sponsored this document is a great honor for our neutral Motherland.
The adoption of this Resolution clearly confirms that Turkmenistan's efforts to ensure universal peace, develop mutually beneficial friendly and fraternal relations are widely supported by the international community, the President said. Emphasizing that consistent work in this direction will be continued in the future, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov cordially congratulated everyone on the adoption of the Resolution "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia".
