UNDP launched a series of workshops in Turkmenistan

A series of workshops have been launched in Turkmenistan under the project "Development of the National Adaptation Planning Process in Turkmenistan", implemented by UNDP jointly with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan with financial support from the Green Climate Fund. This is reported in the UNDP press release.

The aim of the workshops is to raise awareness and capacity of water professionals on issues related to climate change and impacts on water resources at regional and national scales.

The event was attended by specialists from the Ministry of Environment Protection, Ministry of Agriculture, State Committee for Water Management, the Khakimlik of Ashgabat, representatives of the S.A.Niyazov State Agricultural University and the Dashoguz branch of the IFAS Directorate.
