The possibility of cargo delivery via Turkmenistan to Astrakhan was considered

During the visit of the Russian delegation to Tashkent, Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin and Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov discussed the possibility of delivery of cargoes from Uzbekistan to Russia by water through Turkmenbashi International Port of Turkmenistan to the ports of the Astrakhan region. Currently, Uzbek cargoes are delivered to Astrakhan by automobile transportation. The Governor of the Astrakhan Oblast offered Uzbek companies to use the transit potential of Astrakhan to deliver goods from Uzbekistan to Russia, in particular, through the sea section of the North-South transport corridor along the route "Port Turkmenbashi - ports of the Astrakhan Oblast".
