The Turkmen and Georgian offices of UNICEF organized a study visit to Georgia for eight representatives of relevant departments of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
For five days, from October 23 to 27, the Turkmen delegates received information about the national child-friendly justice system. The visit included meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, during which they were familiarized with national methods of working with children in trouble with the law.
Speakers and delegates during the meetings emphasized victim and witness protection, alternative measures for the punishment of children and preventive measures.
