From the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov digitally held a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting June 28 to review a number of issues of state life, TDH reported.

In the course of the meeting the Chairman of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing development of the new edition of the Civil Code, about the amendments and additions to the Budget Code, Sanitary Code, Social Protection Code, laws on physical culture and sports, state scientific and technical policy, scientific institutions, anti-doping in sports, seed production and others.

Also, it was reported about the preparations together with the Central Election Commission for the elections of deputies to replace those who have dropped out, scheduled for July 7 this year.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on the activities of subordinate structures to maintain sustainable development of the national economy, to support positive indicators in all sectors and improve the living standards of the population, on the preparation of the draft State Budget for the coming year. In this regard, it was reported on the results of the analysis of the preliminary calculations of financial and economic activity of ministries and sectoral departments to increase next year the amount of wages, pensions and state benefits, scholarships of students and students.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the social and living standards of the people are consistently improving in the country. Approving the Deputy Prime Minister's proposal to increase wages of employees of enterprises and institutions, pensions and state benefits of citizens, scholarships of students and listeners by 10 percent starting from January 1, 2025, the head of Turkmenistan ordered to take appropriate measures in this direction.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the activities carried out to provide the State Concern "Türkmennebit" with necessary products, on the practical steps taken aimed at creating appropriate conditions for the technical re-equipment of institutions of the fuel and energy complex, effective exploration and drilling works on oil and gas wells, as well as their development through the wide introduction of international best practices in the industry.

In the course of the meeting there were reports on the measures being implemented in the agro-industrial sector and the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country, on the work being done to modernize the material and technical base of the electric power industry.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdayev reported on the regular meetings of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission and Business Council, as well as the exhibition of products and goods "Made in Turkmenistan" scheduled for July 15-16 this year in Tashkent.

It was also reported that on the instructions of the head of state preparations are underway for the forum "Trade, Investment and Business Opportunities in Turkmenistan" scheduled for November 7-8 this year in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The event is planned to be organized within the framework of the World Exhibition (ADIPEC) dedicated to oil and gas and energy sectors, new technologies and advanced developments, which will be held on November 4-7 in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Amannepesov reported on the preparation of the draft "Procedure for the development, implementation and financing of state scientific and technical programs", aimed at improving the implementation of scientific and technical policy on priority vectors of scientific, scientific-technical and innovation activities, strengthening the financial, material and human resources potential of the country, as well as other tasks.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the steps taken to enhance international cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of climate change.

In anticipation of the 19th Youth Conference (COY-19) to be held in Baku in November 2024, it is proposed to organize Youth Forums on Climate Change in September in all velayats and in Ashgabat.

In addition, a proposal was voiced to hold the International Conference on Food Security in the Context of Climate Change in the Turkmen capital in November this year. This forum will be organized under the auspices of the United Nations and jointly with its specialized structures - the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Food Programme and the Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on preparations for the competition of innovative projects "Digital Solution - 2024". It is planned to summarize its results within the framework of the international exhibition "Türkmentel - 2024".

Addressing the participants of the meeting, the Head of State noted that June 29 is the anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, signed the Decree "On the construction of buildings and structures" related to the second stage of the construction of Arkadag city, and congratulated the Hero-Arkadag, the entire Turkmen people and members of the Government on the anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city.

In continuation of the meeting, the participants cordially congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty and the Head of Turkmenistan on the remarkable event.
