On October 5, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council. The meeting reviewed the results of the work of military and law enforcement agencies in January-September of this year, the issues of ensuring security and peace in independent Turkmenistan, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies and further improvement of their activities, TDH reports.
Secretary of the State Security Council, Defense Minister B. Gundogdiyev reported on the work carried out in the subordinate structures during the period under review, practical steps taken to strengthen the country's defense capability, increasing the professionalism of the Armed Forces officers, the conditions created for the fruitful activity and life of servicemen, the process of retirement from the Armed Forces and the next call-up of Turkmen citizens for military service.
Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense also reported on the results of the military parade held in honor of the 33rd anniversary of independence of the Fatherland. At the same time, it was reported that during this period, with the participation of the head of Turkmenistan, a new complex of buildings of the Specialized Military School named after Berdimuhamed Annaev of the Ministry of Defense was inaugurated, where all conditions are available for training the young generation of defenders of the Fatherland.
Then Prosecutor General B. Mukhamedov reported on the measures implemented in January-September of the current year to supervise the strict and precise observance of legality in all spheres. There was also a report on the results of inspections carried out on the instructions of the head of state on the implementation of the provisions of normative legal acts, the implementation of digital technologies and advanced methods in the activities of subordinate structures.
Then the Minister of Internal Affairs M. Khydyrov reported on the results of work for nine months of 2024 to maintain public order, prevention of offenses, organization of the Fire Safety Service according to the requirements of the time. There was also a report on the events held within the framework of the month "Road Safety - Peace of Our Lives", on the commissioning of modern administrative buildings of technical inspection and vehicle registration groups of the police departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in a number of districts of Akhal, Balkan, Mary, Lebap velayats.
In turn, Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Khojamgulyev reported on the results of activity for the period, implementation of the Development Program of the headed body, conditions created for fruitful service of judges. He also reported on the fulfillment of the instructions of the head of Turkmenistan and the opening of the modern building of the Karakum etrap court of Mary province.
Minister of National Security N. Atagarayev reported on the work done since the beginning of the year to maintain a favorable social climate in the state. He also reported on the measures being implemented to apply modern technical means and methods to effectively fulfill the DHS's basic powers.
Then, the head of the State Border Guard Service Y. Nuryev reported on the results of activities during the period under review to ensure the inviolability of the sacred borders of the Fatherland, modernization of the material and technical base of the Border Guards, implementation of the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country.
Then Minister of Justice M. Taganov reported on the practical steps taken in January-September this year to bring the national legislative framework in line with the realities of the time, raise legal awareness and provide adequate legal assistance to Turkmenistanis.
Then, the Chairman of the State Customs Service M. Khudaykulyev reported on the results of activities for the first nine months of 2024 in order to optimize the growing cargo traffic passing through the border of our Fatherland.
Further, the Chairman of the State Migration Service A. Sazakov reported on the comprehensive measures taken since the beginning of the year in order to successfully implement the Development Program of this structure. He also reported on the progress in modernizing the material and technical base of the agency through the introduction of a digital system and best practices in this area.
Summarizing the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country said that according to the Military Doctrine of the Fatherland, which is purely defensive in nature, measures are being taken to ensure the security and integrity of the independent and permanently neutral Motherland. Strengthening the defense capability of the sovereign state, improvement of social and living conditions of servicemen and members of their families are given priority, the head of state said, noting that the work in this direction will be carried out in the future.
