On November 22, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where a number of state policy issues were considered, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing work to strengthen the legal framework of the country by improving the national legislation in accordance with the realities of the time. In this regard, it was reported that the existing laws are being analyzed by making necessary amendments and additions in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and generally accepted norms of international law.
The Head of Parliament also reported on the ongoing work on the definition of the motto of the coming year 2025.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. Kh. Geldimiradov reported on the practical measures taken to strengthen the international financial rating and authority of our state, as well as to build up partnership with relevant structures, in particular, with the Agency "Fitch Ratings" (UK).
As reported, as a result of the analysis conducted by the above-mentioned organization, Turkmenistan's credit rating was upgraded in August this year. Having submitted to the head of state a relevant proposal to increase bilateral cooperation with the Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister reported that this step is designed to promote the increase in the volume of foreign investment attracted to the country, simplification of crediting conditions and, in general, expansion of foreign economic activity of our country.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Amanov reported on the steps realized by the State Concern "Türkmengaz" to prepare for the winter season.
In this regard, "Türkmengazüpjünçilik" and "Türkmengazakdyryş" associations of the State Concern are doing everything necessary to ensure uninterrupted and reliable supply of natural gas to domestic consumers.
As reported, the technical condition and compliance with the rules of operation of specialized and, in particular, heating equipment in the field are constantly monitored. In order to ensure rational gas consumption and strict compliance with the relevant safety measures, awareness-raising activities are carried out in the mass media.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the pace of seasonal campaigns in the agricultural sector and regions of the country.
Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree "On production of high cotton crop in Turkmenistan in 2025" in order to ensure rational use of land and water resources, agricultural machinery and mineral fertilizers in the regions next year.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the preparations in Ashgabat for the upcoming New Year holiday.
As reported, in order to meet and organize worthy celebrations on the occasion of the coming year 2025, it is planned to decorate Christmas trees in the cultural centers of the capital, recreation parks, places of cultural events, on the avenues, as well as to carry out work on festive decoration of the main city of the country.
In this regard, relevant proposals have been submitted to the Head of State for his consideration.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on the upcoming exhibition of export goods of the Republic of Turkey from December 4 to 6, as well as the regular meeting of the Turkmen-Turkish Business Council.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the main activities scheduled for December and the order of opening of social and cultural facilities.
As reported, the final rounds of the creative contests "Merdana nesil - 2024" and "Ýylyň parlak ýyldyzy" are planned to be held in the coming period. On the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality, the following events will be held: honoring of Turkmenistanis awarded with the jubilee medal "Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna", a ceremony of laying flowers at the Monument of Neutrality, a concert of cultural figures and masters of arts in the capital, song and music celebrations in the velayats and the city of Arkadag. A number of events will be timed to coincide with the Day of Oil and Gas Industry and Geology Workers.
Among the main cultural events are the ceremony of lighting of the Main Christmas tree of the country on December 15, festive concerts of cultural figures and masters of arts in the park "Ylham", on the squares in front of the State Circus, Cultural and Entertainment Center "Älem", monument "Arkadagyň binasy" in the city of Arkadag, and in the regions - in front of the buildings of "Türkmeniň ak öýi" timed to the New Year. At the same time, a New Year teleconference will be organized between Ashgabat, velayats and Arkadag city, as well as a festive fireworks display.
In addition, it was reported that a number of new facilities, including residential buildings, are scheduled to be commissioned in December in the regions.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the issue of sending young people to study in higher educational institutions of the People's Republic of China and Hungary in 2025-2026 academic year in such areas as information technology, health and medical sciences, education and pedagogical sciences, agricultural sciences, engineering, technology and technical sciences, mathematics and natural sciences.
Having approved the proposal to send young people to study at universities of the People's Republic of China and Hungary in the 2025-2026 academic year, the head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister to take necessary measures.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the ongoing preparations for the December 11 conference on strengthening joint efforts to maintain international peace and sustainable development.
At the same time, it was reported that the meeting of the Group of Friends of Neutrality will discuss the possibility of developing the Global Security Strategy initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, practical steps to expand cooperation in the field of peace, issues related to the introduction of the principles of neutrality in national and international strategies to achieve sustainable development.
In continuation of the meeting, the Deputy Head of the Government, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the results of the official trip of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates.
Then Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the progress of preparations for the International Conference and Exhibition "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development - 2024", scheduled for November 26-27 this year, in accordance with the relevant Decree of the Head of State.
As it was informed, the plan of the forum envisages holding a high-level plenary meeting, as well as discussing topical issues in the field of transport within the framework of the sessions. At the same time, on the occasion of declaring November 26 as the World Day of Sustainable Transport in accordance with the Resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on the initiative of our country, it is planned to organize jointly with the UN the second Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport and the event entitled "Safe Roads for All".
The meeting also considered a number of other issues of state life, on which relevant decisions were made.
