Slovakia Appoints New Ambassador to Turkmenistan

The Slovak government has appointed Viktor Boreski as the new ambassador to Uzbekistan. At the same time, the diplomat will be registered as ambassador to Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. President Zuzana Kaputova presented her identity card to the ambassador January 10 at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava, nCa reported.

Victor Boreski was born in 1965. In 1989, he graduated from the Agricultural University in Nitra, Slovakia. In 1994, he defended his scientific work for the degree of Candidate of Agricultural Sciences.

At first he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture of Slovakia. In 1996 he worked in the diplomatic service, and in 2000-2002 he returned to the Ministry of Agriculture. He returned to the diplomatic service in 2002, working in the embassies of Riga, Kazakhstan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. At that time he focused mainly on economic issues.
