A seminar was held for Turkmenistan's customs officers

A national seminar on customs risk management, combating violations and automation of customs processes was held for Turkmenistan's customs officials. This is reported on the Orient news website.

The workshop was organized by the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia in cooperation with the USAID CA Trade Program in the capital of Turkmenistan.

The course program is based on the experience of Kazakhstani customs services in introducing risk management into customs clearance procedures. In addition, the World Trade Organization's trade facilitation practices are reviewed.

The training event is aimed at ensuring the efficiency of customs services, exercising control, working with high-level customs risks, speeding up and simplifying customs procedures.
