Athletes from Turkmenistan took 6 medals at the World Weightlifting Championship

The national agency "Turkmenistan Golden Age" reports that the national weightlifters won 6 medals in the first two days of the competition at the World Youth Championship, which is held in Albania.

One of the winners was 13-year-old Ogulshat Amanova, competing at 45 kg. Ogulshat topped 12 athletes, taking a silver medal in snatch and two gold medals in deadlift, beating a Filipino athlete and last year's champion from India by a combined total of 156 kg.

Another medalist of the world championship was Perhat Bagtyyarov. The Turkmen weightlifter performed in the weight up to 61 kg and competed with 18 weightlifters. The Ashgabat athlete took gold in the jerk and two silver awards in the snatch.

In total points (258 kg), Perhat surpassed the athlete from Vietnam and was only 1 kg behind the gold medalist from the Philippines.

To act on superiority now will be Didarbek Dzhumabaev (to 67 kg) and Suleyman Jafarov (to 96 kg), and also - Medina Amanova (to 59 kg), Gulyalek Kakamyradova (to 64 kg) and Anamjan Rustamova (to 81 kg).
