The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Italy hosted a meeting to discuss the project of translating into Italian and preparing a book of poems by the great Turkmen thinker, philosopher and poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi for printing. The publication of the book of poems is timed to the forthcoming 300th anniversary of the poet's birth.
The meeting was attended by the director and founder of the publishing house "Sandro Teti," Professor of Turkic Studies Frederico De Renzi and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic T. Komekov.
During the meeting Sandro Teti told the Ambassador about the translations of the poet's poems into Italian and emphasized the poet's great contribution to the development of the culture of human civilization and to the strengthening of peaceful and friendly interaction between peoples.
Professor of Turkic Studies Frederico De Renzi thanked the Ambassador for the honor of translating the works of the great sage of the East. T. Komekov, in turn, thanked the publisher and scholars for their work.
The meeting at the Embassy took place on October 17, 2022.
