Turkmenistan reduced transit tariffs for Uzbekistan by 50%, according to Deputy Minister of the Republic A. Voitov. According to the official, Uzbekistan also managed to reach agreements to reduce tariffs for shipments from Georgia and Azerbaijan.
The agreements reached allowed Uzbekistan to reduce the cost of cargo from these countries already in the current period by 30%. Deputy Minister reported on the reduction of transportation costs in the Caspian Sea.
Voitov stressed that new transportation routes are being developed, and as part of this work, cargo has already been shipped to Uzbekistan from the Indian port of Mumbai through the territory of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
