The Ministry of Finance hosted an online meeting of diplomats from Central Asia and the Caucasus with representatives of the IMF. The main vector of discussion was issues of private financing for states to get their economies out of the crisis caused by the pandemic.
The participants of the meeting noted the negative impact of COVID-19 on the economic situation in the Central Asian region and the Caucasus. In order to reduce tensions in this direction, the countries are pursuing a policy of state support for certain segments of the population and industries.
