President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of Tsukuba University (Japan) Kyosuke Nagata on September 5. This is reported by the online edition of "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
During the talks, the parties noted the prospect of further development of the Turkmen-Japanese partnership in the sphere of education and other areas of mutual interest. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted high productivity of the established relations in the cultural-humanitarian, political-diplomatic and trade-economic spheres.
The parties named the development of ties in the scientific and educational sphere as the main direction of cooperation, where there are ample opportunities for further expansion of partnership. To date, the parties have already achieved success in the development of scientific and educational cooperation. Tsukuba University fruitfully cooperates with universities of Turkmenistan, Japanese specialists teach in Turkmen higher educational institutions under exchange and internship programs.
