Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan meets with Finnish Permanent Representative to the OSCE

Issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE were discussed during a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Permanent Representative of Finland to the OSCE Ves Hakkinen on October 9, 2023. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side noted the effective cooperation between the country and the Organization in such areas as energy and environmental security, as well as transport interconnectivity.

It was emphasized that close contacts have been established between Turkmenistan and OSCE institutions - the Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.

In addition, priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Finland were discussed during the meeting.
