The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania has organized an international conference and exhibition "Makhtumkuli Fraghi - Turkmen enlightener, thinker and poet of the world". This is reported by the online edition of Vestiabad.ru.
The exhibition is open to visitors until February 25 at the National Library of Romania. The conference was attended by members of Parliament, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, rectors of universities, representatives of academia, museums, chambers of commerce and industry, mass media and Turkmen students studying in Romanian universities.
During the conference, a documentary about Turkmenistan prepared by the Romanian National Television was shown. At the end of the event, Turkmen students recited poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
