Turkmen delegation participates in the SDG Forum in New York

On July 10, a forum on SDGs organized by ECOSOC kicked off in New York. This is reported on the Orient news website.

The ministerial phase of the forum will be held from July 17 to 19, and the ECOSOC forum will conclude on July 20.
The agenda focuses on accelerating recovery from coronavirus infection and realizing the SDGs by 2030.

The forum will address the 5 Sustainable Development Goals recommended by the UN. During the event, 40 countries will present their Voluntary National Reviews on the implementation of the SDGs. Turkmenistan has included 6 more Sustainable Development Goals in its VNR in addition to those recommended by the UN.

A separate session during the forum will be dedicated to the city of Arkadag, which was inaugurated in Turkmenistan on June 29. In addition, preparations for the SDG Summit with the participation of heads of state, which will be held in September 2023, will be discussed.
