Turkmenistan and Japan expand inter-parliamentary cooperation

Today in Tokyo, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Fukushiro Nukaga on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In the course of the meeting proposals were put forward to activate the activities of the Turkmen-Japanese inter-parliamentary friendship group, establish youth inter-parliamentary ties, enhance the role of women in inter-parliamentary relations and achieve sustainable development in the field of parliamentary cooperation.

Attention was paid to the organization of the meeting of parliamentary leaders of Central Asian countries and Japan in the format "Central Asia + Japan", which is planned to be held in Ashgabat. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as exchange of experience in lawmaking.
