Makhtumkuli Fraghi Week is being held in Turkmen universities

The Week "Makhtumkuli and Turkmen Literature" dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen thinker and organized by the Department of Turkmen Literature of the university is held at the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli Fraghi from 19 to 24 February. This is reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".

During this week, scientific conferences, open lectures, creative meetings, contests and Olympiads will be held. During the opening ceremony of the Makhtumkuli Fraghi Week, professors and teachers of the university gave speeches, students sang songs based on the poems of the Turkmen poet.

During the open lectures, students familiarized themselves with the history of Turkmen literature and the works of famous Turkmen writers. The conference was devoted to modern literary studies.

A theatrical production, a competition of humorous skits, and visits to cultural centers of the capital are ahead of the students. The closing ceremony of the Week, as well as the announcement of the winners of the competitions will be held on February 24.
