Turkmenistan and IEA expand cooperation

Turkmen Ambassador to France Maksat Chariev met with Executive Director of the International Energy Agency Fatih Birol on bilateral cooperation. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

In the course of the meeting the issues of IEA participation in the forthcoming International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments in the Energy Sector of Turkmenistan TEIF 2024, which will be held in Paris on April 24-25, were discussed.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan presented Fatih Birol with an official invitation to TEIF 2024. The Executive Director of the Agency expressed his readiness to assist Turkmenistan in finding investors for the development of the energy sector of the country. He also noted the importance of Turkmenistan joining the Global Methane Commitment.
