Representatives of Turkmenistan and Iran paid attention to the discussion of cultural and humanitarian partnership during the Inter-Midway political consultations at the level of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two states.
Negotiators were interested in joint cultural activities. Diplomats expressed their hope for the implementation of face-to-face activities on the relaxation of quarantine restrictions imposed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Preparations for the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi were discussed. Turkmen and Iranian delegates do not exclude the possibility of organizing joint celebrations on this occasion.
Turkmen and Iranian representatives positively assessed the experience of cooperation at the level of individual regions of the two countries. They noted the need to develop scientific, educational and health cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran.
