Turkmenistan and JBIC discuss development of cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Representative Director of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Amakawa Kazuhiko. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The sides noted the high dynamics of development of Turkmen-Japanese relations and strengthening of interstate ties due to the political dialog at the highest level. Special attention was paid to the importance of the bilateral documents signed during the working visit of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan in April this year.

The participants of the meeting positively assessed the experience of cooperation between Turkmenistan and JBIC. The participants noted the effectiveness of joint projects on financing the construction of large facilities in oil and gas, electric power, chemical and other sectors of the economy.

The Japanese side highly appreciated the open investment policy of the President of Turkmenistan and expressed readiness to participate in the realization of large-scale national projects of the country.
