Turkmenistan and Qatar strengthen humanitarian cooperation

Within the framework of the large-scale international forum "Health, Education and Sports in the Renaissance of a New Era of a Mighty State" held on October 11, 2025, the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan J. Gurbangeldiev held a working meeting with the Executive Director of the National Library of Qatar Tan Huis. The head of the Makhtumkuli Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan also joined the dialog. It is reported Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. 

In the course of the conversation, the sides noted the presence of valuable historical and cultural monuments that have united the two peoples since ancient times. It was noted that Turkmenistan and Qatar carry out large-scale work to preserve tangible and intangible heritage, honor national traditions and develop libraries.

The participants of the meeting noted that the National Library of Qatar carefully preserves ancient publications related to the Turkic world. The Turkmen side expressed interest in providing its universities with access to these materials through modern digital technologies. This initiative was warmly supported by the Qatari partners.
